I love globetrotting and I love deluxe hotels. But you know what I can’t stand some annoying things about hotels. Of course dirty hotels, impolite staff and not a great shopping arcade are a no-no. Besides that, here is a list of my top Hotel Pet Peeves. Let me know about your pet peeves.
- Why can’t luxury hotels provide free wi-fi? And when they charge us so much for the internet why is it still so slow! I hate it especially when I have to post my fabulous holiday pictures on Instagram.
- You don’t wash your face with shampoo. But there are some hotels where I have seen toiletries including shampoo, conditioner and body wash lying on the basin and not the shower cubicle or bath tub. How annoying!
- First it takes me good half an hour to get that iPad charger out of my bag. When I finally get it out takes me whole night to find that elusive power point. Does that happen to you too?
- Ditto for shower panels! There are so many hotels where I think it will take one a lifetime to figure those shower controls, a two day vacation is not enough!
- Another is when I urgently need something but the front desk refuses to answer my call…one two, ten rings and no answer. I might as well stay at a budget hotel then which doesn’t claim to offer impeccable room service.
- I can go on and on, but let me just end this list by telling my biggest peeve. Why can’t the five star hotel fitness centre and spas be open 24/7! That’s my idea of a holiday- a quick massage or run on the treadmill whenever I want to.
