We escaped the chaos of Delhi and its high AQI to spend a soulful weekend at the Zana Jim Corbett, a tranquil retreat in the heart of Dhikuli. From the moment we arrived, we were enchanted by its unique charm and seamless blend of rustic beauty and modern luxury. Nestled amid lush woodlands and sprawling gardens, the resort’s European-inspired architecture reminds one of a cozy English country home. Elegantly done spaces with intricate stonework, wood cladding, shingle roofs and cozy fireplaces, exudes a warmth that invites you to relax and unwind.
Embarking on our first adventure of 2024 to Ranthambore, I excitedly told my seven-year-old, “Let's go spot some tigers”. The clear choice for our stay was the recently unveiled Zana Jungle Resort, boasting 20 elegantly designed cottages amid six acres of lush surroundings. Zana Jungle Resort in Ranthambore offers a forest retreat, featuring expansive cottages with sit-out areas, private gardens and some even equipped with a luxurious Jacuzzi.

On a Friday evening post work I headed to one of the newest nightclubs in town- The Orb at Radisson Blu New Delhi, Mahipalpur. With some great ladies to chill with, engaging conversations, cocktails and delish finger food, this new avante grade bar proved to be the perfect place for unwinding. It's not tough to find good tipple in this city nor do we have dearth of nightclubs. But ORB is a package- good music, lip smacking food ( that most nightclubs fail to serve), great tipple and impeccable hospitality of a five star.
Beer is the new Scotch. The whiskey drinkers and wine connoisseurs are warming up to this cool frothy drink. Result, besides beer sales shooting up we have a whole new breed of restaurants where food takes a backseat and Beer rules. While Beer Cafes that offer draught beer are cool, for a Beer aficionado a restaurant with a microbrewery is sacrosanct. A new one to have hopped on to this beer wagon is WareHouse Cafe in the buzzing Sector 29 market Gurgaon, which houses every kind of restaurant and pub a Dilliwala could ask for. So why you should be visiting WareHouse Cafe? Read On.
When one thinks Italian, three things come to mind — pizza, pasta and olives. But in reality there is a whole world beyond those three things in Italy dying to be explored, tasted and relished. The Westin Gurgaon’s Italian speciality restaurant ‘Prego’ attempts to do that and achieves it magnificently. Under the gaze of their fine Florentine chef Alessandro Breddo, the restaurant gives you a culinary tour of Italy on a plate. Located at the lobby level of the hotel, the Californian style Italian restaurant offers both indoor and al-fresco dining.

It's an urban oasis of tranquility. It was my first visit to the Kempinski Hotel in Delhi and I was pleasantly surprised by the expanse, chic decor and design of the hotel. More about that later in a post. The luxury spa at the Kempinski Hotel, Shanaya, which is also open for non-residents- equally evoked awe and surprise.
shine spa
The best thing about Shine Spa at Sheraton Bangalore Hotel is the feeling of complete silence and tranquillity that envelops you as soon as you walk in from the door. Despite being located on the fourth floor of a hotel in the heart of a bustling business district, the spa is a veritable sanctuary of relaxation. Consisting of ten treatment rooms covering 945 square meters of contemporary splendor, dedicated wholly to uplifting your senses - Shine Spa will instantly appeal to you. Its interiors are rather plush too. Rich, lustrous materials in warm creams, browns and burnished gold are highlighted with vivid cobalt blue, tourmaline and coral accents. The dark Emporader marble stone used in the reception area is famous for its exquisite designs. The Dholpur beige sandstone graces the reception area walls.
The Amaltas Spa by L’OCCITANE located in the newly launched ANYA Hotel in Gurgaon had a tough job to impress me as I had very high expectations from it. I swear by L’OCCITANE products but whether the spa would be able to replicate that in its spa service too is what I wanted to see. Without building the suspense let me tell you- the spa exceeded my expectations. Back after a long holiday, jet lagged and tanned, my skin needed an anti-tan treatment. The spa manager Suyash Singh promptly suggested the Shea Ultra-Rich Softening Body Wrap followed by a massage of my choice. I prefer medium pressure, besides the fact that I have a thing for spa specialities, so I chose the Amaltas Signature body treatment.
