Everyone has different definition of luxury- for some its an exclusive experience, for others it is about the utmost comfort and for some it is the uniqueness of the offering.
Moksha Resort & Spa Parwanoo, perched at 5000 feet, is a luxury resort that offers panoramic views of the Shivalik Range, sumptuous food and a world-class spa in the most gorgeous setting. You reach the resort in a private cable car. Now whatever your definition of luxury might be, Moksha checks all the boxes!
Post a smooth five hour journey from Delhi to Kalka, we reached the resort in a jiffy taking the spacious cable-car, an exclusive Moksha experience that my six year old little explorer would be cherishing for a long time.
We were given warm Himachali welcome and escorted to our suite. The tastefully designed room had splendid views of the mountains, a balcony to spend leisurely time at, bathroom with amenities and living space. Suites at Moksha Resort & Spa are 800 sq feet and more, offering all the space and luxury one needs on a relaxing holiday.
If you are traveling with your family or in a group you also have the option of choosing the Presidential suite or the two-bedroom Royal suite. Both suites have a personal butler, and while the Presidential Suite has an outdoor jacuzzi, the Royal suite comes with a plunge pool.
My expectations from the resort were quite high but what I didn’t expect was the food to be so good. The multi-cuisine Moksha Restaurant offers lip-smacking Indian, Continental, Italian and Chinese. When you are there you must try the Himachali Thali, a sumptuous meal of authentic dishes from the region.
Chef Gautam Kumar tells us that Moksha uses fresh ingredients, sourced locally, as the resorts focus is on sustainable travel for discerning travellers.
The breakfast spread was ideal to kickstart mornings and the service impeccable.
We would spend most evenings at the temperature controlled infinity pool and the outdoor hot jacuzzi that offers panoramic views of the mountains, admiring the magical Himachali sunsets. The Moksha Spa, that features treatment rooms for singles, couples and also a hamam, has one of the most splendid settings I have seen in India. The expansive spa overlooks the mountains, open areas hyphened with water bodies to create a perfect wellness oasis. The therapist are experienced and you can choose to go for Ayurvedic, Thai or International treatments post consultation with the doctor.
It has a salon and yoga deck too. The resort has yoga classes each morning and packages that include yoga, meditation and Ayurvedic treatments.
The resort also has gymnasium and host of outdoor activities including some adventure sports.
If you are planning a corporate event or a dream wedding, Moksha Resort & Spa has banquet and outdoor spaces to organize events. It has gained popularity in recent times for hosting weddings in the most mesmerizing settings. There are golfcarts, making it convenient to ferry guests at the resort.
For us as a family, Moksha was an ideal weekend vacation that was rejuvenating.
