Country Inn Nature’s Resort: A Refreshing Escape in the Hills

With Delhi’s AQI soaring past the 400 mark post-Diwali, we decided on an impromptu escape to the serene hills of Bhimtal. Luck seemed to be on our side as we managed to secure a charming cottage at Country Inn Nature’s Resort, Bhimtal, despite it being a busy holiday weekend.

A legacy property under Espire Hospitality, this resort holds a special place in the brand’s journey. What’s remarkable is its ethos of sustainable tourism. Even after 25 years, the resort stands as a testament to mindful hospitality, with its lush green surroundings preserved in harmony with nature.

Sprawled across 13 acres, the resort is a paradise of over 100 varieties of trees, beautifully landscaped gardens and captivating views of the surrounding mountains. It’s a sanctuary for those seeking tranquility amid nature’s finest offerings.

Our one-bedroom cottage was spacious, cozy, and perfect for our family. My little explorer was thrilled to explore the property and read the names of the trees thoughtfully labeled throughout. With amenities like an swimming pool, a kid’s activity room, badminton and table tennis courts and the multi-cuisine Flames restaurant, the resort caters to every traveler’s need. The sprawling lawns also offered countless cozy spots to sit back, relax and soak in the serene ambiance.

Beyond Rooms

The dining experience at the resort was nothing short of delightful. One evening, we indulged in a lavish dinner buffet featuring regional delicacies. The highlight? The Mathura ki Tikki and flavorful chaats that brought a touch of nostalgia. On another afternoon, we enjoyed alfresco dining under clear skies, savoring Kumaoni specialties– Bhatt ki Dal, Kumaoni Kheera Raita, Pahadi Chicken Curry and Mandua ki Roti. The experience was about authentic flavors that lingered long after the meal. If you’re visiting, this is a must-try!
